We are a diverse group of young adults

with big dreams and even more motivation.

Our different backgrounds, experience and expertise allow us

to see things from a different perspective and

focus on different aspects in our work.

We're sometimes scrappy

Litha Sam-sam

Founder & Project Manager

I am Litha Sam-sam, the founder and project manager of Loxion Mobile Library. I was born in Khayelitsha and grew up in the small township of Vrygrond. I believe that every child deserves to have fun and enjoy their years of childhood, regardless of their background. In a township like ours, with few resources or activities for kids, Loxion Mobile Library provides a fun and safe space for our kids.

Avela Okuhle Fentele

Project Director

I am Avela Okuhle Fentele, 20 years old and originally from Khayelitsha in Cape Town, Western Cape. I’m the project director of the Loxion Mobile Library and became part of this project because of the great initiative that it is. I want to play a role in developing our disadvantaged communities and shaping the young minds. I believe education doesn’t only brighten up your future but unlocks the chains in your minds. I want to be the change that I want to see.

Ronaldo Mtanase

Project Coordinator

I am the Project Co-ordinator of Loxion Mobile library and I joined this project because I love working with kids. I’m born and bred in Langa, Cape Town and I've moved from place to place since and am now based in Delft. My Aim is to make a difference in children’s life. I want a child from a disadvantaged community to be able to represent South Africa internationally. I believe that through education nothing is impossible. The sky is not the limit but the universe is.

Born and bred in Berlin, Germany, Cape Town became my second home when I first arrived in 2018 and had the pleasure to work for an NGO in Vrygrond where I met Litha. Besides the design and marketing, I am responsible for the social impact research. As a Social Worker by training and a Master’s student in Childhood Studies and Children’s Rights, working on this project came with great excitement.
