About Me
I'm Saskia Messow, a passionate advocate for human rights and community empowerment based in Cape Town.
With a diverse background rooted in social work and human rights research, education and design, I've dedicated my career to making a positive impact wherever I go and especially in the lives of children and youths from underprivileged communities.

What I do

Advocacy, research and consulting
I'm dedicated to advancing human and children's rights through research and education. My fields of interest and expertise lie in children's rights, humanitarian aid, post-colonial studies with a focus on anti-racism and LGBTQIA+ rights. I offer consultancy services aimed at empowering communities and fostering positive change.

Youth Empowerment & Education
Empowering children and youth is at the forefront of what I do. My current focus is on closing the literacy gap in South Africa through reading therapy. Additionally, I offer child-friendly coaching sessions that are interactive and take from theatre education, social work methodologies and ECD theories. Drawing on my different educational and professional experiences, I provide comprehensive child-focused training and development programmes to adults and children of all ages.

Non-Profit Organization & Project Planning
Project planning, management, organisation and realisation are my strong suits. I have a particular interest in learning design and have been able to create a variety of interactive courses for multiple clients. I also offer consulting services for your child- and/or youth-focused organisations or events concerning children and youth.

Creative Content Creation & Media Production
As a "Jill of many trades", other passions of mine are illustration, design, creative writing, media production and content creation. I've been able to combine most of those skills in the past by creating fun and functional websites, engaging learning content and even theatre plays.
